Just wondering, ignoring the massive, and highly impractical, TNT Cannon we've all seen (such as in this video:
) I was wondering if there's any sort of redstone-powered launcher people have made or have considered making?
The TNT Cannon is impractical, and when playing in survival mode really eats into TNT reserves, or wastes time spent killing creepers. So I was just curious, obviously in creative this is less of an issue but I still like to actually mine for my materials and build it like that. I enjoy creative mode, I just like playing survival and still making big builds.

Wow, now you got me thinking. I have a general idea of how a redstone one could work but it involves a mod so I won't say that one because I don't know the name of the mod. I am going to follow this post and any replies will be sent to my android. I will be working in my Creative single player world to figure out a way to do this with redstone. Thank you for the inspiration. I will send you my world save if I figure out some way to do this, or I can make a tutorial world and send that. Either way, I will do the best I can.

Without TNT? No, it is impossible. Only explosions will give the player any sort of momentum. Pistons won't work because they just push you one block.

Make lots (60-200) snow golems, force them into the same square with pistons (each side blocked, but corners open), and step into a corner. You'll go flying -- one youtuber went 88 meters/s with it.

I just tried a way I thought of using minecrats and rails. But it only sent me 1 block from the end of the track. I will try to think of other ways.
